Mwang’enza Mapembe is the Managing Partner at BarLex Attorneys and an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Subordinate Courts thereto, admitted to the Bar in July 2019. He is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in civil, criminal, and commercial practice.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, obtained in 2017 which laid a strong academic foundation for his legal career and professional development.

Prior to his admission to the Bar, Mr. Mapembe gained practical legal experience at D’Souza and Company Advocates in Arusha where he served as a Legal Officer and was exposed to diverse areas of legal practice. He further strengthened his prosecutorial and procedural understanding during his service at the National Prosecutions Service in Arusha in 2018 where he gained hands-on experience in criminal justice administration.

Upon admission as an Advocate he joined Legal Link Attorneys in July 2019 as an Associate Advocate where he built a strong litigation practice and developed wide-ranging experience in client representation before courts and tribunals across Tanzania.

In October 2024 he was appointed Head of Litigation at Lyson Law Firm, a role he held until March 2026. In this capacity, he led litigation strategy, supervised complex disputes, and strengthened the firm’s dispute resolution practice.

With over seven years of active legal practice, Mr. Mapembe has developed deep expertise in civil and criminal litigation, commercial disputes, labour and employment matters, land disputes, contractual claims, and general advisory services. He is widely recognized for his professionalism, strategic thinking, and commitment to delivering effective and results-oriented legal solutions to clients.
