He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-T) in 2020. He further advanced his legal career by obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP) from the Law School of Tanzania, equipping him with full professional qualification as an Advocate.
David began his legal career at NexLaw Advocates in 2017, where he gained substantial experience in tax advisory, corporate compliance, and commercial legal practice. During his tenure, he developed a strong technical understanding of tax law and its intersection with accounting principles allowing him to provide highly analytical and commercially grounded legal solutions.
He later joined BarLex Attorneys as an Associate, where he continues to advise and represent clients on complex tax disputes, regulatory compliance issues, and commercial transactions. David has advised and handled tax and commercial matters for a range of prominent corporate clients, including Serengeti Breweries Limited, Yara Tanzania Limited, Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Limited (TIPER), and KEC International Limited, among others. His work spans tax audits, objection proceedings, tax litigation, regulatory compliance reviews, and advisory on cross-border and domestic tax structures.
